Your now is preparation for your next
When everything you once knew shifts and all you have before you is the unknown, you must develop neoteric tactics. Now, while changing your clothes, hair, and inner circle may sound appealing as an ideal place to start, there’s a more effective baby step available. Transforming your words causes a shift in your perspective. A transformation of one’s outlook on life, personal circumstances, or journey can be difficult. Trust me. I know this all too well. However, even if your heart isn’t fully sold on cultivating a new mindset, I want to share something with you. The more you force yourself to speak something positive - words of life - into your current situation, at some point along the journey, your thoughts, behavior, and comments will align. Nevertheless, the trick is remaining consistent with your hunt to find something to be grateful for or to celebrate no matter what’s going on.

As we begin another start to a new week in February, I challenge you to make today your day of accepting a word transformation. If at any moment, during your day, you find yourself having a pity party, breathe. Then take a moment to bring to your remembrance something that you’re not only thankful for but something that reminds you of your purpose. Shucks, if you’re like me and find yourself experiencing mental or emotional battles not too much after finishing your morning activities, exercise this approach before rolling out of bed. Therefore, if this is the case, take a moment to command your day with a declaration that attracts victory.
"The more you force yourself to speak something positive - words of life - into your current situation, at some point along the journey, your thoughts, behavior, and comments will align."
I know this sounds a little different from what you may be used to hearing, but trust me, you can attract victory before stepping in the ring to fight. Why? Because victory starts as a mental posture. If you believe that you are a winner, overcomer, or straight “O-G,” your actions will reflect that belief, which in turn influences your reality.
Now, since you are reading this particular line, I am compelled to remind you of something. You, yes, you, the magnificent being reading this post, are a survivor and a fantastic creation with a renowned purpose. Do not give any ounce of doubt room in your heart/mind to cancel this belief. Yet, while I know your situation may or may not be what you imagined a few years ago, there’s still more life within you. Awaken the sleepy giant that’s within you and command it to move. Yes, MOVE! Your tomorrow and destiny are counting on you to walk boldly in your gifts and authority.
You got this, my friend. I know you may be tired, burnt out, confused, or even comfortable right where you are. However, know this, greatness can only temporarily reside in comfort before it is disturbed by the cramped space of contentment. Since I genuinely love you and believe that the best is truly yet to come, will you allow me to give your sleeping giant a little nudge?
Okay. Here you go.
"Take a moment to command your day with a declaration that attracts victory!"
Your now is preparation for your next. Therefore, you must recognize the jewel that lives within so that you can posture yourself to receive the complete manifestation of your purpose.
Now, arise. Step to the plate and show the world why you’re not a force to be reckoned with, okay. I’m rooting for you.
P.S., here’s a phrase that you can incorporate into your morning routine as a way to take command of your day. “My today is [insert something positive].”
