Honor Your Purpose
One of the most selfless acts you can show myself is honoring the vision and purpose attached to your life.
At one point in my life, I thought being selfless meant only doing for others. I thought being kind or taking a moment for myself was selfish and wasn’t necessary until I burnt out.
Oh, beloved, how I was sadly mistaken.
Eventually, along the journey, I realized this gem that helps me prioritize following what matters most in life - honor your purpose.
As a result of this moment of enlightenment, one of the most selfless acts I could show myself was honoring the vision and purpose placed on my life.
When I wanted to walk away, something kept me hanging on until one day, I realized the shame, guilt, and thoughts of feeling inferior were legit roadblocks that fueled self-sabotaging behavior. Well, I don’t want to create a false belief that I have it all together now because I don’t - I’m still a work in process.
While I know not every giant is yet slayed, some of the rewards for rising above the few giants and giving them a good-ole K.O. (knock out) are evident in the “A Dose of Medicine for the Soul” project, which will be available in December 2022.
As I write this, I’m connecting with many emotions, but one thing remains higher than any emotion or thought - when you’re rooted, you WILL NOT fail!
When my soul needed healing, therapy couldn’t give me all of the resources I needed not to lose my mind. AND there was no amount of exercise I could complete that would numb the pain from the brokenness I carried. To reach a place of wholeness, I had to take a holistic approach to better myself.
“A Dose of Medicine for the Soul” is a project birthed from my rebirth and rediscovery of the truth that we’re multidimensional beings that require a multi-approach to be the best versions of ourselves.
So for the next few weeks, as we prepare for the upcoming date at which the book “Encouraging Moments to Help You be the Best You” and the workbook called “Tools for the Journey” become available, go ahead and assess your current bookshelves and holiday shopping lists to make room for these two resources.
A piece of me is left in the pages of both books with the desire that you receive the necessary fuel to live life abundantly without reservation.
Okay, so whew, one milestone is down with many more to go!
If you’re wondering if it’s ever too late to recover, bounce back, course correct, or just wake up, know that as long as there is breath in your body, you can maximize your moment and walk in the shift.
May you experience the fullness of life and break free of everything that once held you back this day and the days ahead.
All the best from your Encourager,
Mahalia
